Just a brief report on recent developments with respect to AMF
  and its schema.

On of the thing that the schema should do is to encorporate
the schemed elements, classification and keywords in the
  schema.

My current thinking is that AMF should support controlled subject
vocabularies. This implies that we keep a series of schema
files that contain the valid codes for each schema. Then,
within schema, the type can be set with xsi:type in the
classification element, and checking can proceed. However
there is some technical issue within schema how to express
the type of the classificaiton element (the one that
carries the xsi:type attribute). The type pointed to
by xsi:type has to be a derived type of the classification
type. I have been in touch with the group that provide the
qualified dc schema, I think that their schema does do
  implement something.

RePEc is now officially registered as an OAI provider, and
Simeon tells that it harvests fine with his harvester.

  Cheers,
