<font size="2" face="sans-serif">As promised yesterday, I attach the mapping to our metadata standards for time series (last column in attached excel sheet, which is otherwise the same sent yesterday). Also, please take a look at Tim Herzog's recommendation to take a look at the Dublin Core and DCAT standards. The links are in his email, copied below.</font><br>

<font size="2" face="sans-serif">I added a column showing how the RePec proposal maps to the Dublin Core Metadata Standard, and/or to DCAT I would strongly suggest they look at Dublin Core and DCAT as the basis for their standard, as it enjoys wide support, is designed for flexibility, and provides most of the definitions and structure it seems they are looking for. That is the approach we took with the data catalog, although the implementation is not quite perfect (in part because the DCAT spec is still evolving).</font><br>

We want to encompass basically anything a data provider would want to <br>
index. But I do not think we want to add a myriad of template types. The <br>
best would be to have a single data template that is flexible enough.<br>
