It looks like /home/ftp/pub/RePEc/remo/ contains symbolic links to folders
in /home/ftp/pub/RePEc, should I copy over /home/ftp/pub/RePEc/ instead?

I'd think that if nobody is available to fix a potential issue over the
weekend, it wouldn't make sense to make a huge change right before the
weekend.
