I started rid.
In acis/bin/nightly, I added, at the end.
cd $acishome
## 2010-12-28: ToK
rm /home/aras/acis/RI/daemon.pid
## 2010-12-28: end
bin/rid start
I think the problem is that there are rid scripts running
when it is killed in the night. I have a similar issue on
AuthorClaim. It gives up killing the process, maybe the
pid file stays at that point.
