[RAS] problem with magic sessions?

  No, I did not do this. Somebody else must have. I tweaked 
  /etc/mysql/my.cnf and /etc/mysql/debian-start.

  I spent several hours carefully preparing for the upgrade, only to
  notice that mysql 5.1 is not part of Debian stable. Arghh!  It was
  all in vain. I felt like an idiot. Actually I am an idiot. I went
  down to the hotel bar and got drunk with the Russians.
