[RAS] internal server error

After finally finding the apache logs (why can't they be at 
/var/log/apache2/ like any other installation?) I find bazillions of 
errors like this:

There are also more complaints about disappearing citations. What is going 
on?

I have to go offline for an hour now. Will be online only spottily until 
about 5pm.
