  I got plenty of confirmation email to the authors account. THe 
  problem does not appear to be sending the emails.

  On any of my services,  I hold the crontab in etc/crontab. I must
  have activated that. If aras to nebka works differentyl, then
  the file etc/crontab should contain a note to that effect.
